Yours skin must be completely free of any moisturiser, deodorant, make-up or perfumes. Wear loose fitting clothing for after your tan. Any minor rub off will wash out of most fabrics.
Avoid wetting your skin or activities that will cause excessive perspiration between the tanning and shower phase. You may shower after 5-8 hours. After each shower, always pay dry with your towel. Moisturise daily, as this will reduce the rate at which your skin sheds and will keep your tan looking better for longer. The use of hot baths, chlorinated pools and spas will reduce the life of your tan.
The spray tan does not provide any sun protection and it does not contain sunscreen. Please wear sunscreen during exposure to the sun.
Yes, it is! The FDA approved Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), the active ingredient which is derived from sugar cane, for safety in 1973. When applied to the skin, DHA penetrates only the top layer of skin. It does not absorb into the body or bloodstream.
The tanning solution is applied evenly by your technician with a spray gun. Because the solution has a bronzer in it, this allows the technician to see exactly where they have sprayed, you won’t be left looking streaky! This takes about 15 minutes and results in an immediate natural looking tan that will continue to develop over the next 5 to 12 hours.
An Aviva Labs sunless tan will usually last 5-10 days. For best results, thoroughly exfoliate prior to application and moisturise generously each day after the application.

Your technician will use the AVIVA LABS SkinType guide to help you determine what percentage solution would best suit you. AVIVA LABS solutions are designed so that only a light application is necessary. If you wish to go darker we suggest you have a higher DHA percentage solution rather than a heavier application.
Absolutely! If you are someone with skin type I who always burns in the sun and therefore has never been able to tan, you can achieve a sunless tan. With AVIVA LABS 8% DHA solution, it will look terrific.
